Agate Varieties with Inviting Inclusions

When buying a diamond anchor ring set with an agate stone for your beloved, you may want to look into the following options.

Dendritic Agate

This is not the normal type of agate, in that it lacks the typical banded pattern. What you get instead, is a white, gray, or colorless stone carrying diverging inclusions of brown or black color. Dendritic agate is also known as tree agate because of these inclusions, and also the fact the “dendritic” means “branched”. If you can dish out a tidy sum, you can lay hands on a stone that is both unique and intriguing, much like in the case of a jewelry grade diamond.

Moss Agate

This type of agate is different for its noticeable impurities. This too lacks the typical banded pattern, just like the dendritic variety. Moss agate is white with greenish inclusions, hence the name.

Plume Agate

This type of agate carries feather-shaped inclusions, which occur mostly on the surface, and resemble ferns or fauna found in rock cavities. A polished stone blends these beautifully with the stunning colors it already has.
