D Color Flawless Diamonds

D Color Flawless Diamonds

Below are a few features of the D color diamond.

  • D color diamonds are the most colorless diamond, technically. This means they are the iciest, the brightest, and the whitest of all diamonds. For this reason, they are also the costliest.
  • It is advised to avoid buying medium, strong, and very strong fluorescence in D colored diamonds. These diamonds can appear milky, while they appear less bright when kept indoors. This is not a property of faint fluorescence.
  • Antique D diamonds are rarer than the normal D colored ones. In addition, many have been resized to the modern standards. This has resulted in a drop in availability. Consequently, the price also is the highest. Considering the fact that a D color is the whitest on the scale, the price is justified.

The D color diamonds are usually set in platinum or white gold. The reflections of rose or yellow gold might make it look like a low-grade diamond. In this case, you can select gold prongs that will reduce the reflections.
