With engagement rings, there is generally a process where the components of the ring are cast from your metal of choice. After this, the cast ring is prepped, mounted, and sized. Following all that, your diamond is set in the way you specified, and then this is polished. This can take up to weeks when done properly. A great deal of attention to detail is needed, which is why there is almost no sense in hurrying it along.
